Studio D Recording Inc., located in Sausalito, California, is known throughout the San Francisco Bay Area as the premier tracking and mixing facility because of its large ambient room with a 20 foot ceiling, tunable acoustics, three large isolation booths, and a great gear selection.
Studio D has been owned and operated by Joel Jaffe and Dan Godfrey providing recording services to musicians and record companies for the past 25 years.

May 09 - Joel Jaffe Mixing, Matt Wilenchik assisting a new album for Ashling a new exciting R&B crossover artist. Produced by Tony Saunders, Executive producer Ron Umile. Featuring guest appearances by Mark Isham, Gerald Albright and Dave Ellis.
May 09 - We are putting the finishing touches on Liz Kennedy's second and third records. She will be performin at the Rrazz Room on July 26th.
Feb 01, 2009 - Doobie Brothers were in doing overdubs for a forthcoming album. Engineered by Ross Hogarth, assisted by Matt Wilenchik.
December 08 - New album for Roy Rogers "Split Deciscion". The album was recorded and mixed by Joel Jaffe at Studio D with Matt Wilenchik assisting. Check out Roy-Rogers.com.
September 08 - Mixing for Steve Ross - the Happy Guru - on his new "Ecstatic Chant" album. It was recorded live in Los Angeles at Maha Yoga Studios. Engineered by Joel Jaffe, assisted by Matt Wilenchik.
July 30, 08 - We recorded a performance by Big Brother and the Holding Company with Japanese singer Superfly for a Japanese TV show.
July 08 - We recently finished a video for Sen. Barack Obama with Maria Muldaur's song "Yes We Can" featuring Maria Muldaur and guests Bonnie Raitt and the Women's Voices for Peace Choir. Check out www.yeswecanthevideo.com.
Zakir Hussein and George Brooks were in recording music for a new Film "For Real" . George Brooks was also in recording a new album for Summit. Joel Jaffe engineering and mixing with Matt Wilenchik assisting.
Maria Muldaur recorded "Yes We Can" for Telarc Records featuring Many Special Guests; Joan Baez, Bonnie Raitt, Odetta, Jeannie Tracy , Jenny Muldaur, Keta Bill, Linda Tillery and Friends as well as Holly Near and Jane Fonda. The album is due out July 22, 2008.
Huey Lewis & The News recorded a new song for the movie by Seth Rogen "Pineapple Express", as well as a few new songs for a new album.
The Magic Christian finished up their new album, Evolver.
